Assistant Property Surveyor
Location: Torquay
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 (DOE)

We’re working with a well-established, family-run Construction & Consultancy business in the Southwest that’s currently looking to bring an ambitious Assistant Property Surveyor on board. The Role:
As an Assistant Property Surveyor, you will be integral to the successful planning and delivery of projects across a wide range of sectors. This is an ideal position for someone looking to gain hands-on experience while contributing to key stages of construction and surveying.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting site inspections and surveys, gathering accurate data for project planning.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports, drawings, and documentation for various projects.
- Supporting the project setup to ensure smooth and efficient commencement.
- Collaborating with the wider team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
- Regular UK-wide travel and overnight stays (minimum 2 nights every two weeks).
- Staying informed on industry standards and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement.
About You:
Our client is looking for someone with a proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative. Ideal candidates will have:
- Relevant experience in Surveying, Construction Management, Project Management, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with surveying software (advantageous, but not essential).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with clients and colleagues.
- A valid UK driving license and flexibility to travel frequently.
