About the Role:
As an Associate Planner, you’ll take a leadership role in managing significant and high-profile projects, providing expert advice to clients, and driving forward the growth of the planning team. Your role will encompass strategic input, client relationship management, and mentorship of junior planners, positioning you as a key figure in our business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on complex planning applications, appeals, and large-scale developments.
  • Provide expert planning advice to clients across a variety of sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Lead on stakeholder engagement, including public consultations and negotiations with local authorities.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior team members.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and represent the company at industry events.

What they are looking for:

  • A degree in Town Planning, Urban Design, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered membership of the RTPI (essential).
  • Significant experience in planning, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale and complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning policy, legislation, and procedures.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • A client-focused mindset with a proven ability to win and manage business.
