The Role:
As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you'll be involved in a diverse range of projects, from building surveys and technical due diligence to project management and contract administration. This role offers exposure to both residential and commercial property sectors, and you'll work closely with clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct building surveys and provide detailed reports for a range of property types.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring smooth delivery and client satisfaction.
- Undertake defect analysis, advising on solutions and remedial works.
- Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documents.
- Provide professional party wall advice and manage dilapidations.
- Work on planning and listed building consents, particularly in heritage and conservation projects.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, offering clear advice and guidance throughout the process.
About You:
We’re looking for a MRICS-qualified Chartered Building Surveyor who thrives on variety and takes pride in delivering quality service. The ideal candidate will have:
- MRICS qualification with solid post-qualification experience.
- Strong technical knowledge in building pathology, defects, and construction techniques.
- Experience in project management, contract administration, and technical reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and managing workloads independently.
- Experience in both commercial and residential sectors (heritage experience is a bonus!).
- A full UK driving licence.
