They are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Building Surveyor to join their dynamic team based in Leicester. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a student due to graduate this year to take their first big step into Building Surveying and work on a diverse range of projects as part of a thriving, national consultancy. You will be supported by a team with extensive experience in the industry who are keen to share their knowledge and help you progress towards chartership and beyond.
As a Graduate Building Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of schemes for an ever-growing client mix across the private and public sector. This includes schools, hospitals, residential development, local authorities, retail, and commercial. Your role will involve supporting the preparation of surveys, designs, reports, and contract documents, as well as general administration of team projects, attending meetings and presentations, and developing client relationships.
We are seeking an energetic and forward-thinking individual with a degree level qualification and (ideally) some experience in a similar role. You should have a commitment to continued professional development with a goal of achieving MRICS statutes within 3-4 years. Good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to write reports, letters, etc., and recognizing your own limitations and seeking advice when needed are also key requirements for this role. You should also be a team player, self-motivated, able to work to deadlines, and manage time with multiple tasks.
