Our client is actively recruiting for a Civil Engineer with drainage and highways project experience. You will help to deliver an exciting variety of civil engineering, highways, drainage and infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will have sound experience in a wide variety of Civil Engineering projects including highway and drainage design for a variety of sites with particular experience of both private and public works, including sections agreements (S38, S278, S106 etc).
The role would involve would focus on providing Flood Risk Assessments, drainage and highway infrastructure design on all types and sizes of new development, supporting and collaborating with project managers from across the business to meet the needs and expectations of clients. They are keen to ensure that they continue to provide the high-quality innovative solutions and service that their clients have come to expect. Your ability to learn, adapt and provide new thinking will be invaluable to the role.
You will be working closely with the Infrastructure Team and Senior Director supporting the production of engineering designs for planning applications, detailed designs and construction of drainage, highways, street works and public realm, SUDS, and building drainage, for major infrastructure and residential, retail, industrial and commercial developments.
We are looking for a Drainage Engineer who has experience in drainage and SuDS, and has a keen interest in planning, ecology, landscape architecture, environmental economics and management, digital tool, making nicer places to live and generally looking after our planet.
Key Responsibilities for this Civil Engineer role are;
• Design, analyse, and optimize drainage systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct site assessments and surveys to identify drainage requirements and constraints.

Working as a Civil Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging from residential and commercial developments to infrastructure and environmental initiatives. Responsibilities:
• Carrying out desktop flood risk assessments on sites varying in size across all flood zones
• Producing surface and foul water drainage strategies and drawings, including SuDS strategies
• Preparing flood risk assessment and drainage strategy reports
• Undertake hydraulic drainage modelling using Infodrainage/Site 3D/Civils 3D
• Preparing responses to comments from the local planning authority/LLFA/highway authorities/RSA Teams etc
• Undertake detailed design of below ground drainage, including production of drawings
• Liaison with design team and stakeholders
• Making applications such as pre-application enquiries, S104/S106, EA consents, S278/S38 Etc
• S278/S38 highway design. Undertake the feasibility, preliminary and detailed design of highways schemes to MfS, DMRB and local authority standards using AutoCAD software
• Production of 2d CAD drawings and 3D models
