Planning Director

Our client is based in Central London are looking for a Planning Director to lead the Planning team. Committed to creating sustainable, innovative, and transformative spaces. Their multidisciplinary team works on a diverse range of projects, from large-scale urban developments to community-focused initiatives. The team believe in the power of design to shape better futures for people and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the planning team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support.
- Oversee the planning and design of projects from concept through to completion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide strategic direction and insight to drive the growth and success of the planning department.
- Ensure compliance with planning regulations, policies, and standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated and holistic solutions.
- Participate in business development activities, including client presentations and proposal writing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in urban planning, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
- Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent professional body.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a creative and innovative approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and procedures in the UK.
