We are currently partnering with a reputable building surveying firm in Bristol, who are seeking a Senior / Associate Director Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of junior surveyors and overseeing general business management, as well as delivering existing work for a diverse client base of commercial and public sector clients.
The firm offers a mix of professional and project-based work, with a split of approximately 60% professional work and 40% project-based work. The ideal candidate will have experience in both areas and be able to demonstrate a track record of success in managing both types of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of junior surveyors and overseeing their work
- General business management, including financial management and strategy development
- Delivery of existing work for both professional and project-based clients
- Building and maintaining client relationships
- Identifying opportunities for business growth and expansion
- Ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard, within budget and on time
Requirements:
- Chartered Building Surveyor with a minimum of 10 years' experience
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing a team of junior surveyors
- Proven track record in business management and strategy development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in both professional and project-based work
