Senior Planner (Welsh Speaking)

An opportunity for a Senior Planner role in St Asaph that requires Welsh speaking is an exciting opportunity for someone with expertise in planning and fluency in Welsh. St Asaph is a lovely city in North Wales, and being able to communicate in Welsh can be a valuable asset, especially for local planning projects and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Development: Lead and manage planning projects, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with local communities, businesses, and government agencies to gather input and feedback on planning initiatives.
- Policy Analysis: Analyse local, regional, and national planning policies to inform decision-making and strategy development.
- Project Management: Oversee planning projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior planners and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in urban or regional planning.
- Professional certification or licensure in planning (e.g., RTPI) is desirable.
- Fluent in Welsh and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
